We have just got back from a lovely week away in Dartmouth. Bramble cottage was a home from home. Clean, cosy, and had everything we needed and more. Martin and Helen were the perfect hosts and was keen to ensure we had a good stay. This was our first time in Dartmouth and we thoroughly enjoyed it. They shared their knowledge of the area and gave us good tips on where to walk and visit. We hope to return again next year and meet the new goats. Thank you both, it was much appreciated! "We have just had the best Easter staying in Hawthorn Cottage with our daughter and her young family. It is a delightful cottage in an idyllic countryside setting with incredible views far and wide.
The owners, Martin and Helen were very friendly, approachable and keen to ensure that we had a good stay.
The cottage is really well laid out, extremely comfortable and well furnished. It is also very well equipped, especially the kitchen. The master bedroom is huge and the bedding and towels were really good quality.
We loved the outside spaces; our 4 year old grandson and dog were able to run wild and free in the fields above the cottage. And we were lucky enough to enjoy a fun communal pizza evening.
It was so peaceful and yet close enough to the breathtakingly beautiful town of Dartmouth. Walking down the country lane into town took around 25 minutes; the views of the countryside and the river on the way are fantastic. It is an uphill walk back to the cottage but definitely worth it.
We will certainly be returning to stay here'.
